I’m getting ready to publish my first book and I keep seeing recommendations for professional book editing services. I know editing is important, but I’m not sure if hiring a professional makes a real difference compared to self editing or using automated tools. Can professional editors truly improve reader engagement and reviews, or is it mostly about polish? I’d love to hear from authors who’ve tried it did it make a noticeable impact on your book’s success?
